Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on 23 November, 1992 is an American performer, songwriter and actress. Her distinctive , raspy voice is the hallmark of her music, which combines elements from a variety of genres and styles, including country pop, rock experimental, pop and rock. With 13 entries, Cyrus holds the record for the most US Billboard 200 top five albums of the 21st century by women artists. The controversy surrounding her personal lifestyle, public appearance, and performances has often been the subject of media interest. Cyrus, a daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, emerged as a teen idol while portraying the title character of the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana (2006-2011). As Hannah Montana, she attained two number-one and three top-five songs in the US Billboard 200, including the US Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "He Could Be the One". Cyrus's personal discography includes US number-one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012); the top five album releases, Can't be Tamed (2017) Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); and Miley Cyrus & His Dead Petz (2015). The top five also featured Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (1999). Plastic Hearts was Cyrus's most loved album and debuted at the top of the Billboard Rock Chart. It also featured the leading single "Midnight Sky". Other singles that she has released include "See You Again", the US number-one "7 Things" and "Party in America." "Party in America" is her other chart-topping top ten single. "Party in America" also features "Can't Be Tamed", We Can't Stop", Malibu, and "Without You". The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified "Party in America" as an official Diamond. Cyrus's achievements include placement in the Time 100 in 2008 and 2014, MTV’s Best Artist of 2013 Award and placement on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists List in the year 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actor, and was seen in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus has been a coach for The Voice, a singing contest, for two seasons. Also, she starred as Ashley Too on "Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too" on Netflix's Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a fervent advocate for animal rights. In 2014, she adopted the vegan lifestyle. She established the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014. It focuses on youth homeless and the LGBT community.
