Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 and raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). Britney was the first dancer of her age and won many competitions in gymnastics. Britney loves to sing and, more importantly, she was in love with dance classes. Britney tried to audition for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of eight. She was denied due to her young age. She was then referred to "Ruthless" Off-Broadway production in which she played as the lead character for two years. She was back in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) in this time as a mouseketeer. However, her most notable break was in the latter part of the 1990s when she signed a contract as a Jive Recording Artist. The debut album of Britney Spears, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as at July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that came out in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears (and Jamie Spears) and has a big sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was the daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to become a famous. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) when she was eight. But, she was not old enough to be accepted. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in a variety of TV ads and in the off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", where she was understudy with Natalie Portman. Britney discovered her passion for music and dance two years later when she was auditioning again for "Mickey Mouse" and was able to win the role along with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
