Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, actor and musician, is known for his sharp-witted and sly characters in action films. Bruce Willis has been featured in over $2.5 billion dollars of films. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German actor, was born in Idar–Obersteinin West Germany on March 19 1955 to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey), who lived on a military base within the United States. His family moved to the U.S. shortly after he was born, and he was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey, where his mother worked as a bank clerk, and his father worked as a welder as well as a factory worker. Willis began to show an interest in the drama arts during his high school. He was "discovered" during his time working at the cafe in a New York City cafe. Later, he appeared on numerous off-Broadway productions. In one night, Willis was working as a bartender and was noticed by a casting director who liked his personality. He was looking for bartenders to play an unimportant role in a movie. Willis auditioned for a variety of roles in films but was not acknowledged. He was eventually offered the part of David Addison, a private eye, along with Cybill Shepherd in the romantic comedy show Moonlighting (1985). His humorous and wisecracking P.I. Some believe it's a practice run to practice for Willis the role he played in Die Hard (1988), in which he was the sole defender of a gang international of thieves in an Los Angeles skyscraper. The actor reprised his role as McClane in the follow-up film, Die Hard 2 (1990) and was set in wintery Washington's Dulles International Airport as a group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers seek to repatriate a corrupt South American general. The sequel, Die Hard with the vengeance (1995) was a smash success. The film starred Samuel L. Jackson as the shrewd Harlem shop owner who is required to join forces with McClane in a terrorist attack that occurred on a hot New York day.
